You have surfed into a tribute site to some of the best in BBC comedies, captured here in the form of Windows95 Desktop Themes for you to download and enjoy. This page is my tribute to the that hit BBC TV comedy series Mr Bean staring the talents of Rowan Atkinson as the hapless Mr Bean. As there are already a number of very good Mr Bean Desktop Themes available on the internet, I have chosen Bean - the ultimate disaster movie as the subject for this new Desktop Theme. The following picture from the movie introduces our intrepid hero Mr Bean in Hollywood.
In the movie, released in 1997, Mr Bean is employed by the Royal National Gallery and is disliked by his immediate superiors for amongst other things, sleeping at work! The Chairman of the board, however, has a soft spot for Mr. Bean and therefore in an effort to rid themselves of the problem, Mr. Bean is dispatched to America to officiate at the return of the famous portrait Whistler's Mother which has been bought by the Grierson Gallery of Los Angeles. Mr Bean is entertained in LA by his good friend David Langley who is the curator of the Grierson Gallery and is played by Peter MacNicol. David takes Mr Bean to an Amusement Park where their troubles all begin.
Mr Bean runs into trouble with the local police and staff of the hospital where Mr. Bean accidentally drops an M&M into an open wound of a policeman on the operating table. Bean, the movie, continues the tradition set by the TV comedies with Mr. Bean getting into all sorts of scrapes. Mr Bean first hit the British small screen in 1989 when Thames Television aired the first show in December 1989. Since then there have been a total of 13 thirty minute shows the last screened in 1995.
