Looney Tunes Newsletter 06-OCT-98

Hi Everyone,
Tweety Pie's Clipart Connection has been competely moved over now. The old site will stay up for those who prefer that format but all new updates will be done on the LT Express. Also we will only place new clipart on there when we have 25 new images. This will let us make a pack that you can download of all of the clipart and help keep us from constantly changing things around on it. This should mean that there will be a new clipart pack coming out about every 3-4 weeks.
We also won an award this week from Mommie's on the Web!. They provide links to kid friendly and generally nice sites on the net and have lots of information for stay-at-home moms and parenting, check them out at
http://www.fortunecity.com/millenium/blossom/94 if you have kids. Lockergnome also featured us in his newsletter 2 weeks ago. His site is at www.lockergnome.com and features a lot of information on new stuff on the net and windows tips and tricks. I've been subscribing for a long time and was surprised to see us in there!
We are aware of the system slowdowns occuring on the site too. I have emailed Simplenet about it but haven't gotten a response yet. Hopefully this is some temporary problem on their end.

If you see any new items in stores, have any other news or would like to submit something to the newsletter please email it to me so I can spread the word!
Thanks,
Richard

-Walmarts has some nice pens in. There are some Lacquer finished ones with a figural head on the top($10), some Lacquer finished ones with metal figure clips($10) and some aluminum ones with patterns on them and a colored character for the clip($5). Only the major characters on them. Thanks to Bruce for the tip!
-Office Depot has some new Dayrunner items in. They have blotter calendars, month-at-a-glance and many other items out. Mostly Bugs, Taz, Daffy and Tweety featured. Thanks to Bruce for the tip!

Looney News

-I have gotten an email from a WB Collectors Guild member and they are definitely shut down. As far as I know this is the only collectors club out there for WB. Anyone know of any others? (or better yet-any rich person with a lot of time on their hands want to start one? :)
-
I received the ornaments that San Francisco Muxic Box Co. is selling and they are pretty nice. They are hand painted resin figures on a wood snowflake background. They all have a music button on the back that plays a Christmas medley when you push it. They are $10 each. Their catalog number is 1-800-227-2190. Their website is http://sfmusicbox.com/ .
-Some schools are running their fund raisers right now and they have a bunch of LT items in the one here. A Bugs Bunny Bell, Miniature Christmas Ornaments, Fan Pulls and more. We racked up $52 worth of stuff that we haven't seen any where else(made our grandson real happy!).

Our Site Updates

-We added Lovables Icons and Cursors to Boxcar 2.
-Added 14 new wallpapers. Some very nice ones and new holidays ones including one for Thanksgiving(finally!). There is also a latest additions page now that will show the last set that we put up.
-Started work on a Help! system for the site. You can get to it on any page and it should answer most of the questions users have.(I could use some help from an AOL member with some of the questions about their browsers) If you have any questions that you feel should be answered in there please email them to me.
-You can access the sites' statistics directly now. In the help system is a link to the monthly stats that we generate.
-Newsletter Subscribers:383, Mailing List Subscribers:67

Other Site Updates

-None this week.
