Hi Everyone,
Well we really racked up a lot of goodies after Christmas. We spent the weekend down south and by the time we shopped our way back the truck was packed full! We didn't find much in Looney Tunes though. We should start seeing the Valentine's items in during this week-all the stores around here are starting to stock the candy already.

Happy New Year!

Richard & Gwen

Seen in Stores

  • Toys-R-Us has the large stuffed Lovables on sale. There are 2 kinds, talking and plush. All are $10. We only found Bugs, Daffy and Sylvester at our store but you might find more at a Babies-R-Us store.
  • Targets has two new soft remote holders in, Marvin and Porky. Most of the stores around here were sold out of them though. They are $14.99 each and they also had Taz and Bugs from last year.

Looney News

  • We got in the snowglobes and cast iron stocking hangars from Canada. They are made by Matrix. There are 6 small snowglobes-Bugs, Daffy, Sylvester, Taz, Tweety, and Marvin and at least 2 stocking holders-Bugs and Daffy. The stocking holders are very nicely done.
  • I sat down and looked through the JC Penny big catalog and was amazed at how much they are carrying now. If you are looking for Lovables stuff for your nursery they carry it all. You can also get lots of items for furnishing kids rooms. We got a nice Tiffany style lamp from them-you have to assemble it yourself but it looks nice when finished. Thanks to Michelle for the tip!
  • We found one of the Minami Tweety Tree Toppers on EBay so someone stocked their items this year. It is made like one of the older foil stars with star lights around the edges. There is a 3d figure of Tweety coming out of the middle standing on a present. Hopefully they will put this line out again next year-there was a wreath, a miniature tree and some lighted plaques also.
  • There is a new Cookie Jar Collectors mailing list at http://cookiejarexpress.listbot.com/ . It is just starting so they don't have a lot yet but they say there will be information on Applause, CIC and Warner jars.

Our Site Updates

  • Added a new clipart pack-1 Beaky, 1 Bugs, 2 Daffy, 1 Foghorn, 1 Lola, 3 Marvin, 1 Pepe, 2 Speedy, 2 Sylvester, 1 Sylvester Jr., 5 Tweety, and 5 Valentines. Also added short descriptions to all the thumbnails which should make it easier to use.
  • Fixed numerous small things that I had been putting off and redid the Games Car and Sounds Page.
  • Added a non-javascript menu system for those who have it turned off. You should only see the option if your browser doesn't support JAVA.
  • Added a lot of links to sellers and wholesalers. Also began a new page for the Software Reviews and one for a list of what is currently in stores.
  • Working on a MAJOR update of The Looney Tunes Collector site. Everything will be redone from scratch and hopefully will be completely searchable when I am done-probably several months to do it though.
  • The Site of the Month for December is Got Gravity? Wile E. Coyote never looked better! Check it out at http://www.accessone.com/~curtiss/wile_e/ .
  • Newsletter Subscribers:669, Mailing List Subscribers:103

Other Site Updates
