Born in New
York City, Adam Trese emerged from the highly competitive Actors Training
Program at SUNY Purchase in 1991 and landed a starring role in Nick Gomez's
groundbreaking independent, "Laws of Gravity." In the few years since,
he has established a very respectable career in both film and television.
Trese's film
credits include a stand-out performance as Peter Gallagher's brother in
Stephen Soderbergh's contemporary remake of the classic film noir, "The
Underneath." He has also appeared in "The Saint of Fort Washington," with
Matt Dillon and Danny Glover, and this past fall did a star turn in "Palookaville,"
directed by Alan Taylor.
On television,
he has appeared with Christine Lahti in the Lifetime feature, "The Good
Fight." Trese also played a gay cop in a critically acclaimed episode of
"Law & Order" and appeared last year in a recurring role on "NYPD Blue."
In addition
to "Push," audiences will be able to see Trese on the big screen this winter
starring opposite Claire Danes in "Polish Wedding," a tale of a rebellious
girl's first love.
