Nearly five
years ago, Eddie Mills packed up his bags and set out to chase a dream.
The Cabarrus County, North Carolina, native drove across the United States
and into Los Angeles with no friends and no "Hollywood" connections. He
slept on the couch of a family acquaintance, got a job as a waiter on Ventura
Blvd. and began auditioning.
His first speaking
role was a guest appearance on "Saved by the Bell," followed by a similar
stint on "Full House." Within a year, he landed a role in the telefilm,
"XXX's and OOO's," executive-produced by the late Brandon Tartikoff. He
was also cast in several pilots that were not picked up for series, but
one, "Daisy and Chess," gave him the opportunity to act opposite Rosanna
Arquette.
His film credits
include three independents: "Heartwood," "Splendor Falls" and "Dancer Texas:
Population 81," all headed for the festival circuit.
