Laurie comes to "Push" with the right credentials. Equal to her love of acting is her love for sports. In fact, Laurie has always found it important to balance her passion for stage and screen with the thrill of competition. It was in high school that she took on her most unglamorous role to date -- goalie on the varsity soccer team!
    Growing up in the Pasadena area, this oldest of two daughters always felt comfortable performing in front of an audience. As a child, she would entertain family members with impromptu living-room performances before and after dinner. She began her stage career with school productions.
    Laurie made her feature film debut in "To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday" with Peter Gallagher and Michelle Pfeiffer. Sports came into play here, too -- she had to shoot basketball free-throws with Gallagher and Claire Danes.
    She debuted on television as Holiday, a regular on the series, "Running the Halls." She has also done guest stints on "Sliders," "Kirk" and ABC's "Boy Meets World."
