The oldest of
three children, Scott Gurney was born in Houston, Texas, but moved several
times during his childhood before settling in New Jersey. He didn't become
serious about acting until after college graduation, when he fearlessly
packed his bags and moved to Los Angeles without knowing anyone in "the
business."
However, talent
and dedication have paid off quickly -- he has landed one of the leads
in "Push" just two years after arriving in Hollywood. Perhaps being new
in town proved to be an advantage in pursuing the role of Tyler, who is
not only a freshman on the gymnastics team, but also a Midwestern farmer's
son who finds the large California Southern University a completely foreign
environment.
Scott is currently
single and resides in Brentwood, California.
