Giles, who could be nothing more than a dry answer man, has really started to become like a
surrogate father to her. In fact, I think he is more of a parent to her than Joyce is. He is the one
whom she confides in, who knows her secrets, and such. She seems to look up to him more than
anyone else, and I think he knows her better than anyone else. He stood by her and supported her
through everything, even at the expense of his own relationship with Ms. Calender, which is a shame
because they are meant for each other.
people think Giles is pretty cool, even for a stuffy englishman.
