- ASP
- Application Service Provider. Specialists who provide custom solutions, such as e-mailing, to companies that do not wish to build their own system.
- DNS
- Domain Name System. Automated system used to translate computer (machine) names into the equovalent IP addresses.
- ISP
- Internet Service Provider
- Junk E-mail
- Bulk, unsolicited e-mail, usually of a commerical nature.
- MAPS
- Mail-Abuse Prevention System. An anti-spam organization.
- RBL
- Real-time Blackhole List, maintained by MAPS with the purpose of blocking out spammers.
- Spam
- UCE or other unsolicitated e-mails.
- Spammer
- An individual or organization that sends out spam.
- UCE
- Unsolicited Commercial E-mail.
