Sorsogon Provincial Skills Priorities, 2005-2007
The Provincial Skills Priorities (PSP) 2005-2007 of Sorsogon lists the priority industry sectors in the Province based on employment volume, investments, gross value added and other criteria such as priorities of LGUs and the Provincial Government. The critical skills, volume of demand and causes of manpower shortage are also indicated in the PSP.

The following are the critical skills per priority sector with gaps in middle-level manpower. Please note that the PSP is due for a comprehensive review this 2007.
Agriculture, Hunting and Forestry

Storing and carrying out of basic processing of coconut including non-traditional products.

Delivering and marketing of coconut and other farm products.

Breeding, raising and cultivating fish; harvesting, sorting, cleaning, freezing, icing fish for market; maintaining fish farm facilities.

Breeding, raising and cultivating prawns; preparing prawns for market; cleaning, sorting, freezing; icing prawns for market; maintaining prawn facilities.

Breeding and cultivating of sugpo and bangus fry.

Maintaining (fish) pond facilities.
