VIRUS HOAX/MYTH NEWS
FOR REVIEW & REFERENCE

(Please copy and save for future reference.)

This page deals with false email warnings and hoax messages. Included herein are many links to invaluable information about common email hoax messages and urban legends circulating currently on the Internet. All of us have received such messages. And probably all of us have -- with good intentions -- forwarded at least one on to someone else at one time or another. But email hoaxes and false alerts are not only annoying, they also undermine the credibility of the Internet as a viable source for up-to-date, accurate news alerts and information. They may even be part of an agenda to do just that -- damage credibility.

Whenever you receive any message that appears even a little suspect, please, before forwarding it on to others, check any or all of the following web page sources and see if it is listed as a hoax.

The Datafellows' Hoax warnings page is considered the industry standard in sources for information on new virus hoaxes and false alerts.
