Sandy and Summer
STATUS: Faces. Tag team, "the Beach Patrol."
WRESTLING: Both of them were awful when WOW first started. They were so bad that it looked like the drop toe hold was going to become their signature move. But, both have improved. They now have some plausible-looking tag team moves. They had a very good match in Show 17 against Harley's Angels. Sandy is the better of the two in the ring. She sells pretty well and is clearly more athletic than Summer.
CHARACTER: Neither of them is a great actress, Summer being the worse of the two. I think WOW knows this, since they haven't been in as many skits as you might expect of arguably the two best-looking women in the promotion. They are generally not asked to do much except look happy and bouncy. That's not a tremendous acting challenge, and since they possess the required look for it, they pull it off ok. They bump butts in the ring after they do a good move, and it's ALL GOOD.
LOOKS: They are both damn hot. Summer looks bad in a lot of pictures because she has this cheesy pouty expression. But in keeping with her character, she is usually smiling when she is in the WOW ring, and that helps. As I think the pic above illustrates, her face is not amazing. (And you see the trouble she has smiling.) Sandy is sizzling, with great legs and a super-cute face, and just hot all around. Supposedly, she dates or has dated David Boreanaz ("Angel"), and that's a guy a lot of women would want to date.
COMMENTS: I give the Beach Patrol a lot of credit. Unlike WOW's other sex symbol, Lana Star, the BP have been asked to do a lot of wrestling. Although I doubt it comes naturally to them, they have improved drastically. It would be a little silly to insist that they develop a world-beating array of wrestling moves, or contend for the championship belt. They are good at what they do, which is have the crowd love them, job a lot, and win the occasional match.

- Summer took on former (uncredited) Beach Patrol member Wendi
Wheels in a solo match and did not look good. Her surfboard is absolutely
awful. She should be held out of solo matches until she improves in the tag
team format.
