Q: When was your group formed?
The Bereans: Apologetics Research Ministry (formerly Apologetics Research Team) was organized in 1995.
Q: Do you have any denominational group affiliation?
Our ministry is not under the umbrella of any denomination but it is being overseen by a number of individuals and some Christian pastors from other denomination and ministries.
Q: Are you just formed to counter what?
The Lord impressed in my heart to form a spiritual discernment ministry in countering the false claims and teachings of every major and minor cultic groups, as well as, major religions, occultic beliefs, New Age Movement and unbiblical principles that opposes the Word of God.
Q: Is your group led by theologically trained brethren? Does your group provide Bible based teachings or merely interprets the Bible based on your own understanding?
We are theologically trained by our church ministry in a way that we learn how to discern truth from error in accordance to the Word of God.
Q: What is your main goal?
To train and equip pastors, lay leaders and Christian members on cult evangelism, to evangelized every skeptics and cultic groups existing in our country and to provide adequate information to the public so they will know the spiritual or physical harm and dangers posed by these unbiblical groups.
Q: How are you supporting yourselves?
We are supported by Christians who share the Ministry's vision and mission.
Q: What is your belief concerning SALVATION, CHURCH, RAPTURE, SECOND COMING, TRINUE GOD?
Salvation: By grace through faith alone and not of works
Rapture: I personally believed in pre-tribulation.
Second Coming: Jesus will come back again in the flesh where every eye shall see Him.
Triune God: We believed that there are three Persons in the Godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is NOT the Father NOR is He the Holy Spirit. Our belief in the Trinity is what the apostles and the early church fathers held.
Q: Concerning your approach to other denominations?
All Christian denominations and ministries who adhere to the orthodox teaching of the Christian faith are embraced as brethren in the Lord.
Q: Concerning your feeling in recent happenings around the world?
This already deals with eschatology and every Christian theologians can testify that there are various school of thoughts in this area.
