Angered by Zimbabnese spies found operating in his empire, the Ethnarch of Rattanjeetland declared war on Zimbabmei on September 21, 2005 at 8:24AM.
Officials from the Ethnarch's wartime cabinet took exclusive government planes and flew directly to Octavton hours afterward looking for help from its longtime friend and ally. To their dismay, the Octavians declined Rattanjeetland's invitation.
However the Principal Councillor of Octavton gave tacit approval for war by issuing a press release later that day. Octavton revealed evidence its intelligence agents had obtained which led to the conclusion that Herwan had used Zimbabmei (which it secretly controlled) to bomb the Jeetanics (held in Herwan) in order to gain sympathy from the international community in light of its poor reputation abroad.
The world did not have much time to react before the first of a series of devastating electromagnetic waves shredded the earth to dust in Zimbabmei. The Ethnarch had made sure to target the offices of the spies who had provoked his empire into war. Surely enough, the Zimbabnese intelligence agencies were soon erased from the face of the Mapp.
As wave after wave pounded the Zimbabnese military, elite forces from that country secretly entered the Rattanjeetarr province of Aliphatia and captured an air hangar. Incensed, the Ethnarch ordered accelerated wave attacks.
In the meantime, a press conference in the far northeastern country of Bangkwok showed further damning evidence which leant support to Octavton's theory. Bangkwok also repeated Octavton's earlier challenge to Zimbabmei - that it declassify all its intelligence records.
Surrounded by incoming dying and wounded, the Zimbabnese cabinet managed to sneak out a response from its underground bunker the next day. In it, Zimbabmei agreed to declassify its records but challenged all countries to do the same. Unfortunately since the intelligence agencies were already destroyed by Rattanjeetland, they were destroyed beyond all recognition.
On September 24 at 8:34PM, officials from Herwan met with Rattanjeetarr officials and a ceasefire was signed. This act showed the world that Herwan indeed controlled Zimbabmei. When Herwan's puppet cabinet emerged from the bowels of the Zimbabnese parliament, it was met by 268,000 dead. In Rattanjeetland, the number of casualties did not even surpass 3,000.
On September 27, Octavton urged to Herwan to make significant concessions to guarantee peace. The Herwanese gave no response. A week passed without word from either side. To this very day, no one is certain whether the ceasefire will metamorphosize into a permanent peace or degenerate into the resumption of total war.
