Creativity

5/18/00 12:26 PM

Creativity. Life.
What is the difference?
For without creativity...
Man is dead !

To truly live,
man has to suck the marrow out of life...
And what is that other than creativity?

To exist is a gift of God.
But to truly live...
is a miracle !

Try that.

Anticipation
5/18/00

For those of you who don't read the "Darktowers-site", the subject at the moment is fear. I just thought about a poem I once wrote while going through a tough time. It goes like this:

Anticipation

Headaching dreams
of death and pain -
over and over,
dreams screaming:
This could happen to me
feel it NOW!
the pain
the anger
the loneliness
FEEL IT!

Life is pain -
if you don't expect it,
it can hurt you badly.

Anticipate it,
deal with it
before it catches you
and breaks you.

Sunflower Child

5/22/00 09:54 AM

Sunflowerchild
your eternal smiling face
shines up to the sky
every day
every day

How you give joy...
How you inspire!
How sad you really are,
nobody would guess.

Crying inside,
yet smiling to the world.
Willed to be happy
BECAUSE
you are a sunflowerchild.

Untitled

My skin screams
for your touch;
unfelt -
shelterless,
shamed.
Will you share this picture one day :
stabwounds bleeding.
Experience the pain.

Wishes
5/23/00

This poem was written by one of my best friends:

"If the world was a wish,
we'd be living in peace.
No war, no guilt, no agony... never cease.
Never will you see a smile faked or pretended.
Never will there be broken souls...all mended.
No more depression, sadness -
no tears to be shed.
No more fighting, or saying:
"For his country he bled".
Conservation isn't necessary -
it is all still there.
The birds, the insects, the flowers everywhere.
There's enough water, enough daily bread.
No hunger for food or liquid to be met.
No more solitude -
just never-ending love and joy.
No walls, burdens, or problems to destroy.
Everybody accepted;
prejudice forever gone.
Neither your culture,
nor the coloour of your skin can destroy this bond.

These are all wishes which usually never come true. But maybe if we keep believing, someday they do."

- Liané -

The Flake Poem:

When you look into my eyes
I feel a melting sensation...
When you smile that sweet smile,
Oh Heavens, you're devine!
When you tenderly touch every inch of my skin,
the earth starts to tumble...
But Baby, every lingering kiss
AND ALL RESISTANCE CRUMBLE!

- Smile -

"...be glad you had the moment."

Inner Child

When the inner child comes out to play,
the critical parent frowns,
and I just want to put my head into a dark hole and stay there!

I wish I could fly away to anywhere:
So long to this life -
live a bohemian life
with lots of freedom
and lots of love...

To drink in all the joys,
to feel the peace
and to be whoever I want to be.

God,
I'm so tired of judgements and expectations.
I just want to live!

Dad's Day

6/6/00

Because Fathersday is just around the corner, I share with you this poem, written a few years ago:

Dads are big and strong
(to keep you safe),
rich
(to keep the hungerpains away),
clever
(to give you lots of good advice),
and absolutely stubborn
(to drive you crazy !!).

(But) we love them.

Happy Dads-day !

Different But the Same
6/6/00

My love and I are so different
and, yet, the same:

Where food is concerned
he hates cabbage
and I hate peas,
but we both love pasta and cheese.

When we're angry or sad
he'll sulk and I'll cry,
but when we recover
we both need to be hugged close for as long as possible.

He loves to tickle
and I hate to be tickled,
but we both get wobbly knees from kissing.

We both love
Grand Prix and Movies
as well as shopping and magazines,
but when I prefer to read a book,
he feels like swimming (not alone).

It's complex
and yet simple.
We're different
but the same.

Two people sharing love
and different frames of mind.

Face
6/9/00

You are wearing that face again.
I know that face so well,
it is the face of happiness
pasted over pain.

Struggling to survive in a life so cruel...

You try so hard to be strong,
maybe too hard.
And sometimes it gets too much
and you get sucked into the jaws of anger and negativity
crunched under steel teeth of pain.

Stop!
Take of that pasted lie.
Show the world your real face.
It is so beautifull -
its freckles speak of exposure,
its lines of life,
a life worth living.

Be true to yourselve...

- Smile -

Truly, Madly Deeply
6/19/00

"With every breath
I love you more,
truly...madly...deeply
I do!"

Listening to that song
and looking at you,
involved in your own actions,
unaware of my thoughts:
I suddenly understood again
the depth of my love for you.

It goes beyond being bound together by vows...
beyond sharing a home...
beyond platinum friendship...

For you are
my anchor;
the meaning of my life;
the blackboard for my dreams;
the balance of my sanity;
the best friend on my playground;
the reality of my desires;
the rock I can depend on, always.

You are my life
and with every breath in my living soul,
I can truly say
that I'll love you
truly...madly...deeply
all my life!

Truth.
6/19/00

Real love grows
with the truth :
the expected honesty
of the flawed undressed -
without it
how can you say you love?

Cyber Friends
6/20/00

'Cause reality bites
and is sometimes boring,
I visit your space sometimes.

Time stands still
when I join this safe, comforting
and sometimes cruel haven.

In your words and spaces
I exist as a cyber personality.
I choose to be honest
and to learn and grow
as I walk along your poetry path.

I appreciate your interest and replies,
sometimes serious,
sometimes fun!
And answer your poetry
with mine.

I cherish your friendship in cyber reality...
as I hope you do mine.

Replying to Wylde's Cataracted Realities
6/20/00

cateracted eyes
looking through the mirrors of the soul
see only what it does not fear
but whispering
through the protective layers
comes the truth
blinding
but free ing
in the mornings new light

Dreamer
6/21/00

I am a dreamer,
dreaming up my own reality
obsessively perfecting each detail
till it fits the shoe I want to wear.
But unfortunately,
or maybe fortunately
the movies in my mind stay just that.
For I don't think I'll be the heroe
or that the happy ending will come true
if I'm tested in this world
and reality turns out a bitch.
So thankfully
my dreams stay dreams
and leaves me to live in reality.
