'ELLO 'ELLO 'ELLO, WHAT'S ALL THIS THEN?
The Megazine (which shall henceforth be known as the 'Zine for brevity's sake) is primarily a Teletext page. Yes, Teletext, you remember? That crazy thing on your TV used for checking what's on in the cinema and switching on subtitles to annoy anyone else in the room? Well, it all started on there, Channel 4 Teletext page 142, and continues to thrive to this very day.

The 'Zine is basically a letters page for either those who have nothing better to do than write nonsensical inanity or those who just get a kick out of seeing there own drivel on the telly. Or indeed those who fall into both of the above categories (that would be me, then). It is edited by the elusive White Line Warrior (or WLW, again for the sake of poor old brevity) and, er, features the vile Davord, Lord of Tharg as it's mascot/god (See the background for my own stylised portrait of that self same oik).

With the advent of the Internet (oooooo-ooh), 'Zine has gone all cyber at the hands of a few of the more dedicated/obsessive 'Ziners, and now you actually chat/see photos of/share files with/hurl abuse at actual real life 'Ziners the world over!

Er, my xenophobic view of earth means that to me 'the world over' means the UK and Ireland.

GETTING ON 'ZINE
If you want to join the ranks of smelly newbies writing to 'Zine, you can email WLW at club140@teletext.co.uk, or write to him/her at an address I can't remember, or fax him/her at a number I've never used. Don't forget to come up with a daft pseudonym for yourself. Little Miss Clara and Galder Weatherwax's Hat are already taken, by the way.

BY THE BY...
'Zine is only available on the UK's Channel 4 Teletext service, which means terrestrial TV only. So any droogs not in the UK or Ireland or without access to Channel 4 are going to miss out. Which is either a good thing or a bad thing, depending how you see it.

OH, AND 'FYI', AS THE MAN MIGHT SAY
It's pronounced 'zeen', not 'zyne'. Even WLW agrees, and lordy, he should know. So anyone who disagrees can just sod off. Go on, get to soddomy.
