The mural

Dragon mural in Junior's room
Mom M. filling in the dragon

In keeping with Junior's magical theme, I asked Mom M. (the artistic family member) if she could help me paint a wizard and a dragon on the wall of the baby's room. Luckily, she said yes, or the baby may have been severely traumatized by my efforts to do this on my own.

Mom came down on March 14 to March 18 to paint the mural. We started out with a whole bunch of dragons that Mom downloaded from the web, and from there picked out a wizard and a dragon that we both liked. We were going for friendly, but not too babyish.

Mom did a sketch, and then on Thursday morning, she chalked her drawing onto the wall. After that, the painting began.

We used acrylic craft paints for the mural, and glow in the dark stars for the wizard's cloak, as well as for the stars shooting out of the wand.

The mural turned out FANTASTIC! Mom did a great job! (I was the loyal, and napping, assistant. If there was a line I could paint inside, then everything was OK.)

I know Junior is going to love the mural...his parents definitely do!
