The baby room
As George has pointed out many, many, many times, the kid really isn't going to care what color his walls are, whether fun curtains hang on the windows, or what the closet looks like.
The point of decorating a baby's room, is of course, not to impress the little one, but to make yourself feel better about the whole baby thing. It makes you feel prepared! (I made cute baby curtains...I must be ready to handle an infant.) Any psychological edge you can get, I say go for it.
