The ultrasound pictures
For some reason, someone thought it would be funny to make a pregnant woman drink a lot of water, tell her not to go to the bathroom for an hour and half, and then press on her stomach repeatedly with a wand-like instrument.
Of course, it's all worth it because you get those great ultrasound pictures at the end to take home and show everyone you can think of. They dutifully nod and smile and say how cute the baby is, even though the pictures look like a cross between an alien and a weather pattern. (Did I mention you have to drink a lot of water?!?)
