About the Hose | Miscellany | Freddy the Egg of Death
|
Meet Freddy the Egg of Death. He's the little black guy sitting on the white paper box. During an interesting project for a Psychology class, Freddy the Egg of Death was created. Under thick layers of black yarn and spray-on rubber cement there is actually an undisturbed egg - well, there was. We decided that Freddy's reign of terror should be ended as soon as possible. Since he survived a great fall from the top of the football stadium bleachers unscathed, a more effective method of destruction involving lots of flammable liquid was decided upon. In this first picture we can see Freddy sitting atop a throne of paper drenched in lighter fluid - the same lighter fluid that also has been used to form the encircling pentagram. Mike is preparing to set the trail of fluid ablaze while the scene is covered by the shadows of spectators (the rest of us) looking on in fear at the monstrous satanical incarnation.

The devil-egg has been ignited! Freddy, unfortunately, does not seem to be burning as well as we thought he would. Notice the big toothy grin still apparent on his evil evil face. Oohhh, he's so evil.

What better solution to a problem of a weak flame is there than WD-40? There certainly wasn't any that we could think of. The shadows of onlookers have disappeared here as they have all run away in fear of his dying wrath. Only the floating hand remains with a trusty can of WD-40 to make sure Freddy is sent back to the hells from which he was spawned.

The flames have been put out, and Chris gives us the signal that no danger is to be expected now from the charred remains of Freddy. To make absolutely sure of the destruction of this abomination, however, Nathan is preparing his dent-resistant Saturn for smashing the evil egg into the street. Notice the trees without leaves in the background. That was, of course, an evildoing of Freddy's mastermind...or this all happened at the end of Winter. One never can tell, taking into consideration the extent of Freddy's evil powers.

And thus, our story draws to a close. Freddy the Egg of Death has been defeated. This picture displays the gruesome aftermath of our battle against evil. Soon after, his remains were scooped up and buried under the rocks on the side of my house. We all live in fear that perhaps someday he shall rise from his stony grave and terrorize this world again, but we rest assured that we have rid this land of a great evil force at least for a short while.
