Admiral William Penn lived in Wanstead and his son William Penn was a pupil at Chigwell school . In the year 1670 a landmark in justice was established when Penn a Quaker and founder of the American State of Pennsylvania was on trial at the Old Bailey in London . Penn had been arrested for riot punishable by hanging however his legal training at Lincoln's Inn helped proved the illegality of the trial . Penn wrote the constitution of the Carolinas which was taken as the basis for the constitution of the United States .

Woodford and Wanstead were represented in parliament by Winston Churchill and his statue and bronze bust are to be seen here . The Wanstead Society looks after the development of the area and preserves the charming centre against obtrusive development and bad planning so the pleasant aspects of the locality are retained . There are many language schools in London , paying more does not guarantee a good teacher .

Students are advised NOT TO PAY FOR COURSES IN ADVANCE IF YOUR OWN MONEY IS AT RISK UNLESS ABSOLUTELY DEMANDED AND YOU FEEL CONFIDENT .

Many schools offer special deals to attract students and low cost tuition is available . I can offer some advice if obtaining Cambridge certificates is a priority or you wish for small class size .
