TRAVEL DIRECTIONS TO THE MANSE- SNARESBROOK LONDON El1
Heathrow is in zone 6,the centre of London is zone 1 and Snaresbrook zone 4. Buy a one way ticket to Snaresbrook if you DO NOT intend to visit the centre of London on arrival day.
Buy a one dav travelcard Zone I to 6 and this allows you to make many journeys to any stations you chose on the tube network (see note) and use all the buses too and the docklands light railway and all the overground trains also. NOTE:- the tube network extends beyond zone 6 to some country stations.
WHEN YOU INTEND TO STAY IN LONDON FOR ONE WEEK YOU NEED A PASSPORT SIZE FOTO (for identity card) TO BUY A USEFUL WEEKLY TRAVEL TICKET ZONES ONE TO FOUR.
From HEATHROW take a tube train and get off at Barons Court Station DO NOT CHANGE PLATFORM - take two steps across the platform to wait for a District Line train destination Barking or Upminster, get on it.
Get off the District Line train at Mile End Station DO NOT CHANGE PLATFORM - take two steps across the platform to wait for a Central Line train destination Epping or Loughton or Woodford get on it.
Get off at SNARESBROOK please use the footbridge to cross over the road and come down the steps to pavement level turn left walk 30 metres to Sylvan Road , turn left to walk eighty metres along to number 14 on the left hand side.
Follow this route and you do not have to carry baggage around the tube system or up and down escalators ; use a trolley at Heathrow. Please remember that Heathrow is a big airport and outside the city , the journey is simple but quite long - however the trains are frequent.
If you wish to go fast into London Centre there is a new train service from Heathrow to Paddington Central Station only and it costs twice a one day travel card.
From GATWICK take the express shuttle train to Victoria Station and then District Line tube train destination Barking or Upminster to Mile End Station and proceed as before.
From STANSTEAD take the express shuttle train to Liverpool Street Station and then Central Line tube train destination Epping or Loughton or Woodford and get off at Snaresbrook Station
From CITY Airport there are three similar routes to Snaresbrook.
2 Catch London City Airport shuttle bus to Canary Wharf Station and then Docklands Ligbt Rail train to Stratford Station and then Central Line tube train to Snaresbrook Station.
3. Catch London City Airport shuttle bus and continue to Liverpool Street Station and then Central Line tube train to Snaresbrook.
Number one is the easy route and cheapest . Number two is more interesting but you must carry your luggage at each station change , and select correct docklands train.
