It had been far too long since Isaac's last date with the Butt-kiss girl. He seriously needed some help.
I took the liberty of helping him out.
It wasn't a singles ad. I had the girl at the Tulsa High School paper just put it in the classified section. I had no idea that many girls would call.
Well, actually I did, but I figured Ike could handle it.

"This is ridiculous."Taylor rolled his eyes."Why are all these girls calling Ike?"
It was about four o'clock on the first day Ike's ad ran. Isaac was out food shopping with Mom and almost thirty girls had called already. It seemed to be working. Surely he could get himself a decent girl out of all the potentials.
"You think someone sold the number again?"Zac asked. Sadly enough, a so-called friend of his had sold our telephone number for fifty bucks the year before.
Taylor shook his head."I haven't given it out to anyone new lately. I have no idea how all these girls could get the number. And why the heck are they only calling Ike?"Tay appeared to be turning a pale shade of green.
Just then, Mr. Popular Single of the Moment burst through the front door carrying several bags of groceries."Hey, any calls for me?"
I tried not to laugh.
Taylor handed him the list of girls names and phone numbers that had been accumulating all day.
Briiiinnnng!
Everyone looked at Isaac. He gave us all a strange look and picked up the phone."Hello?"
We watched the expression on his face get very confused."Um, yeah this is Isaac..... hey Amy...... Friday? I don't know..... Uh, yeah I could call you back I guess,"he furiously scribbled down a number."Really, you like science fiction, too,"giving us a desperate look, he switched the phone to his other ear."Um, yeah, it was nice talking to you too. Bye,"he said softly, hanging up the phone.
He turned to where Tay, Zac, and I were watching TV."What the heck was that all about?"
Zac shrugged."The calls have been coming in all day."
Isaac looked down at the list of names and numbers, just then seeing what it was."Who are all these girls?"
"What girls?"Mom asked, coming into the room.
He handed her the list.
She smiled."Why don't you ask the next girl that calls?"she suggested.
The phone then proceeded to ring again.
Uh, oh, that was my time to leave. He was going to kill me when he found out. Not that I did anything wrong, mind you, but Ike tended to be a little daft. He didn't always know what was good for him.

Boy did that one backfire on me. I though he'd be mad, but instead he and Taylor decided that they 'owed it' to each of the girls who called to go on at least one date.
What does Taylor have to do with that? Well, he took the fourteen and fifteen year olds, while Ike took the sixteen and seventeen year olds. Every night that week they were out on a double date. Most of the girls were so brainless that they didn't even care which brother they were going out with. One night they even were out on two separate double dates.
The backfiring part was when Isaac met Brandy Wilcox. She was horrible, just horrible. I couldn't believe he was dating her.
As much as it pained me to say it, I was going to have to get rid of her.
