when the university opened in october i was not among those who had been called .I was encouraged by Spiwe Nyanuvhurudza who had been my classmate from form 3 to go and fill the vacancies of those who would not have taken their places .Spiwe told me the tricks of looking fir a place she told methat when you are told to come on wednesday if it is on monday you come on tuesday morning at 8 O'clock.

we went to UZ on monday were told to write our names on the supplimentary list we go every day some would be taken whilst were there but this deed discourage me . on the eighth of October I was enrolled inthe bsc hons degree in politics and administion. oOn the 31august 1999 my father was dismissed from work. My wanted me to do an accounting degree but he said there was no problem with me doing politics since he knew i had keen interest in doing politics This interest had began in when I was in grade five when as part of general paper I would know all the ministers and their portifolios. This mearnt that the knowledge of the minister I had interest in their actions and I began to have interest i would listen to news every day it was during this period that I also developed interest in learning Ndebele.

I was very interested when I began my lecture Dr john Makumbe and proffessor masipula Sithole were to be my lecturers.I had known makumbe for his candid political talks and for criticim of the government and used the read masipula 's articles in the financial gazzette. this were to be lecturers. The joy of getting aplace at highest insitution of higher learning did last long as I was being discourage for taking that programme which i had no bright future with. Since my father was not working I had to ask my father 's cousin brother to act as my surety. he agreed..

THEO TSOKOTA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ZIMBABWE (4OCTOBER 1999-1 APRIL 2000)

TO honest i found the political lessons very interesting and eye opening . I to research on the elections in zimbabwe since 1980 and why african leaders tend to overstay in power. in tutorials some people had to come to ask me not to fire them with questionsbut I would not listen i would fire then when they were presenting so everyone was waiting for the day i would present..

When I enrolled atUZ I was expecting to get my payouts within three weeks .There was an error on ,my Vocational Trainning loan Number . I went to the ministry to retify the problem they promised to correct the mistake as early as possible. After three weeks I went to student records to see if the error had ratified it was not I went to mrs Magaramombe the deputy dean student who advised me to see mrs ushewokunze the chief executive of vtl section at ministry of higher education.Since my father was not working the family did not have money for to go UZ every day at $60 a day without food i went to her office she was very hospitable i told her my plight , she apologised for the behaviour of her staff she asked questions about my home and backgroung because the problems at home i began to cry . Mrs Ushe as she affectionately known told me these "look, theo you are many many problems will come in live which can nbot solved if cry on this small problem what will you do when big problems come which you can not solve ,imagine you have problem with yopu wife you the man began to cry is that good".

My payout only came aweek before the end of the first semester .i did not know that this was a blessing in disguise because if the money had come on time i would have spent it quickly. SINCE I HAD THE IDEAof enrolling at gweru teacher degreeprograme I HAD to keep the money i had because I knew the ministry would demand its money back. The second semster opened without probem three weeks after the opening of the second term I was called at midlands state university for the Bsc information systems degree programe. When I went to the ministry they asked to return all their money since I had bleached an agreementand as condition for me to get funding at midlands state university.
