Panel Unloading

As mentioned previously, unloading the panel trucks on Tuesday and Wednesday proved to be an event in itself. The mud and inexperienced panel truck drivers provided us with a variety of challenges.

A brief synopsis:
Panel truck arrives, can't make turn into driveway - we somehow guide him in; crane attempts to move, begins sliding, excavator pulls crane to safety; panel truck unloaded, attempts to leave, gets stuck in topsoil when backing out of driveway - excavator returns again to pull out truck; takes driver over 30 minutes to back out of the driveway (nice man, but definitely needed to take a "Backing Basics" course).

The next day, panel truck #2 arrives - this time everything goes much more smoothly until this truck gets stuck backing out as well (so much for being told "Don't go over there!"). Excavator returns once more to save the day.

The first panel truck arrives.
John and Brian assess the situation.
Placing the support braces for the lift.
Lori carries a small panel to the pile.
The crane lifts a stack off the truck...
...and over the top it goes.
More panels going over the frame.
Finally - the last stack is lifted off!
The rain stopped the framing that day.
