Young adults use college life as an intermediate step between the family nest and establishment of their own territory. The Lesser Lawn Flamingo is attracted to academic challenge and high quality men and women's basketball.
The gregarious nature of the P. plasticus is clearly evidenced by their domestic behavior. Young flamingos are frequently found frolicking with their friends at local playgrounds.
Adult flamingos tend towards more sedentary and philosophical pursuits. With their rapier wit and mastery of obfuscation, flamingos are naturally excellent conversationalists.
