Zaida (R' Menachem Mendel Dalfen) had a dream that he would be making a shidduch (match) with his youngest daughter, (our Aunty Bertha) but that he would not live to dance at her wedding.
He still went all out to find a good boy for her and came up with the best, the handsome Mayer Sand of Kumpulung, our dear Uncle Mayer.
They had a Vort (made an agreement) at the house that was joyous and lively. When the guests had all left and the house was quiet again, Zaida sat down on the sofa and exclaimed "oy vey"...he had just remembered the dream.
He was niftar (died) shortly thereafter of a sudden heart attack.
So passed away a Tzaddik (rightous man), a Baal Tzedaka (charity giver), always happy and singing, a loving father, the crown of the family, the one person who inculcated all of these traits into all his children.
It was Cheshvan 5691 and the town of Radautz lost a great man and community leader.
