ACT II, Scene 3
Log It Man (I Think It's Gonna Be a Long Long Time)
Music by Elton John, Words by John Abrahams
Scene: The massive banquet consumed, MITCHELL walks the streets, his digestive system taxed to the limit ...
I packed my tummy with three steaks tonight
Ten dinner rolls and some yams
And my stomach is ti--iii--ight, as Linda's face my friends
I scraped my plate so much it wasn't right
It's a familiar case
Of my huge appetite

And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
Till I can loose my belt again and find
I've got some room left down there after all
Oh no no no I've got to log it, man
Log it man, squatting 'hind this big old tree alone

Bars are the kind of place to take a piss
Well in fact it's gross as hell
But there's someone there to clean it ... if you miss
And all this hygiene I don't understand
I'm just a slob, seven days a week
A log it man, a log it man

And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
Till I can loose my belt again and find
I've got some room left down there after all
Oh no no no I've got to log it, man
Log it man, squatting 'hind this big old tree alone
