INTRODUCTION TO THROTTLERS ROD & CUSTOM CLUB INC.
Throttlers Rod & Custom Club Inc. is a club catering to owners and lovers of pre-1948 Hot Rods and pre- 1965 Custom and Custom Classic type vehicles. The club is based in the rural city of CRANBOURNE, on the South Eastern side of Melbourne, in the state of Victoria, Australia. Many of the members live in small satellite communities around the area. In townships such as Lang Lang, Langwarrin, Carrum Downs, Clyde, Narree Warren, Fiveways and even the bigger city of Frankston, as well as a couple of members living further into the Metro city suburbs.
Throttlers were formed, on the 13th. April 1992, by a group of like minded individuals, who have a commitment to the sport / hobby of STREET RODDING, and who actively promote good fellowship, skill and sportsmanship among the clubs' members and the general community
Club meetings are held on the second WEDNESDAY of each month at the AMSTEL GOLF CLUB, Cranbourne, and the meeting start time is 8.00pm.
Membership of the club currently stands at 31, with members' ages ranging from 23 up to 65, with an average age of XX.
Seven (7) of the original fourteen (14) individuals who founded Throttlers are still with the club; and have been virtually the back bone of the club and are very active in the organising of our own club events.
