The Bellevue West Class of 1987 has concluded another reunion and this one was the best yet! Friday night was a West only event, although we had a number of East grads joining us throughout the evening, held at the Reed center. There were appetizers and the cash bar turned into a free bar courtesy of your reunion committee. In typical old school style we finished an entire keg of beer and five gallons of Margaritas. Everyone had a great time catching up, looking at yearbooks and telling stories of our glory days. We had 80's music in the background and there was even a little impromptu dancing.

Saturday morning, Bellevue West hosted those brave enough to get up early to a tour of the high school. I missed the first half of the tour, but I hear it was quite the trip down memory lane. After the tour, the tourees all met at La Mesa restaurant and had lunch together. After that a number of people drove down to the old market to shop and tour.   

Saturday night the big East/West joint event and was held at Eagle Hills Golf Course. Cocktails started at 6 p.m. and dinner was served at 7 p.m. Seating was available both inside and on the terrace. The weather was perfect, very un-Nebraska like!  After dinner class pictures were taken and the dancing began. Our DJ's for the night (Corey Phillips BW 88) did a great job getting everyone out on the dance floor. There was even a mosh pit and an air guitar demonstration. The very cool bartenders let us party until 1 a.m. and surprisingly, many people stayed for the entire evening. At the end of the evening Kelly Faiman (BW 89) drove us back to the Microtel Inn in his very cool bus. Those of you who rode on the last bus of the evening were treated (?) to a "bus variation" of a pole dancing/gymnastics show. I know my arms were a little sore in the morning. After hours parties didn't last quite as long at the last two reunions-maybe we're just old, but they were still fun.
