  How To Download MIDI Files 

1. Hold down the left or right shift key, and then click on  the song title. (Netscape) 

2. Right click on the song title, and then click '(S)ave LinkAs' or 'Save Target As.' 

3. If you have the latest version of Crescendo, you can right click on the Crescendo box while a song is playing, and then click 'Save (A)s.' 

4. Macintosh users should hold down the option key, and then click the song title. 
 

 

Troubleshooting MIDI Files 

1.  If you are having problems playing the random sets or MIDI files with Netscape and Crescendo, try reinstalling Netscape and Crescendo. 

2. Or you can download the MIDI files and use MS Media Player. 
 

 

Play MIDI Immediately After Clicking MIDI Files 

1.  If a dialog box appears asking whether to save it to disk, You can disable this by selecting the option "open the file..." and uncheck the option "always ask this question ..."

2.  This will ensure MIDI files play immediately after clicking  
 

 

Play MIDI file (after downloading) on your keyboard synthesizer:

1. Run a MIDI cable and adapter from your computer to your keyboard. Use
any sequencer or music notation (eg CakeWalk Pro Audio or Cubase VST 24)
software to control the playing.

OR

2. If your keyboard has a floppie disk drive: save the downloaded MIDI
file onto a DOS-formatted disk. This disk will then be readable by most
disk-readers on keyboards.
