The Quake II 3.17 patch was released shortly after the recently created 3.15 patch, which was supposed to "fix ALL the problems so you wouldn't have to DOWNLOAD IT AGAIN and make everyone happy" was. In order to play Multiplayer all servers in Quake II, you must download this. (I really have no idea why they just didn't make the game work when it came out. Probably to piss people off). There are 2 versions of this patch-One you can download if you've already PROPERLY (See below) upgraded to 3.15, or one for if you've never upgraded to 3.15. There are mirror site to download it from in case one is down. 3.15 PATCH NOT INSTALLED: 3.15 INSTALLED: Download the correct patch intto your Quake II folder, then run the install program.
