Absurd Notions by Kevin Pease
Overall Rating Maturity Rating

It concerns a group of friends and their adventures in the real world of computers, art, and fast food. They enjoy playing role playing games so, from time to time, their alter egos enjoy romps through midieval lands of magic and adventure.

This one is kinda hit or miss. You should expect a good dose of cynicism and sarcasm from this one. It switches from the day-to-day struggles of everyday life to high adventure. Worth a look.

Adventurers! by Mark Shallow
Overall Rating Maturity Rating

The best parody of role playing games that I've found. It is not dependant on existing games or sprites, but takes place in an original game world so familar you'll swear you've played it before.

Anti-Hero for Hire by Mark Shallow
Overall Rating Maturity Rating

By the same author as Adventurers!, this one's a little grittier. Set in the near future it involves a bounty hunting hero and his hacker support staff. Fairly refreshing view of the glamourous (and sometimes not so glamourous) world of quasi-superhero and villians in the not too distant future.

Bruno The Bandit by Ian McDonald

This is the one that started it all (for me at least). This was the first web comic I ever read. It was referenced in a post on the ISCA BBS. I've never looked back...

The setting for this one is by and large a midieval fantasy setting. The strange thing is there is all kinds of modern technology sprinkled about. It concerns the misadventures of the main character, Bruno the Bandit, and his micro dragon sidekick Fiona. He is forever looking for an easy path to wealth and the good life. Unfortunately something always goes wrong.

Castlevania Comics by Tom Maisano
Overall Rating Maturity Rating
This comic is hilarious! It unites various nintendo characters, from link to belmont, from kirby to koopas. The best things about it, other than the humor, are the creative fight scenes and inter-dimensional portals. Check it out- highly recommended!

This furry comic follows the adventures of a group of anthropomorphic college students. The story delivers some dead on reflections and insights into college life.

This strip has passed on. Luckily archives are available.

Dragon Tales! by Tim

Consistantly hilarious with an ongoing plot as well. Some of the funniest one liners I've ever seem. It involves a tale of young dragons living in a world much like our own and their adventures. Highly recommended!

Dragon Warrior 101 by James Gray
Overall Rating Maturity Rating
This webcomic is based upon the original Dragon Warrior game for the NES. Quite amusing as the main character continuously questions the nature of his 8-bit reality.

8-Bit Theater by Brian Clevinger

This is a hilarious spoof on Final Fantasy for the NES. The gamer references alone are worth the price of admission. Consistently funny if a little slow in pacing.
