Banalind: (BAWN AH LIND) A fabled magical, flying creature
the size of a large oak tree and with the strength and intelligence
of fifty men. The Salochin believe the HeilonSar will have
Banalinds fighting beside him in the Last Battle.

Clemetzon: (KLIM ET SON) A city famous for its trading,
varied peoples and outlandish festivals in the northwestern region
of the Kingdom Dackar.
Common Era: Name given to the time after the great
earthquake which ended the Forgotten Age. The current era.
Common Tongue: The language most commonly used throughout
the known world. It is a blend of ancient Zynik and the Milaki
tongue established when the first eastern peoples settled in
the western continent. Most nobles must learn the common tongue
for foreign trade.

Dackar: (DAH CAR) A formidable and wealthy kingdom
in the western region of Viarek.
Daith Bogail: (DAY ITH BO GAIL) The spirit messenger
of the Dark.
Dark, The: Common name for the evil behind the Dark
Lord and those who follow.
Dark Child(ren): Name given to those who dedicate themselves
to the Dark Lord.
De: (DAY) The ancient Zynik word meaning of.
DeAttor, Rydal: (DAY AT TOR, RYE DUL) A Protector
of the Kingdom Dackar.
DeHelden, Eriff: (DAY HELD IN, AIR IF) A squire
training to be a Protector of the Kingdom.
DeNavade: (DAY NAH VADE) An ancient Zynik name
translated follower of evil in the common tongue.
A band of thieves dedicated to the Dark Lord, often in the guise
of traveling entertainment or merchants.
DeVocatus: (DAY VO KOT US) Ancient Zynik for
defender of light. Dark Childrens name for
the Light Lords Warrior. The prophesied warrior who will
break the kingdoms and scatter the people. Prophesied to fight
against the Dark Lord in the Last Battle.

Encartne: (IN CART NAY) The religion of the Kingdom
Dackar. According to Encartne, the world was created by the Light
Lord. People are rewarded or punished according to the deeds
done in a life, whether as man or animal. A reward would be to
come back in another life that was far greater than the last.
A punishment would be to come back in another life far worse.
Those who study the ways of Encartne become Leasunngs.
Etallis: (EE TAL IS) A magical orb made up of either,
iron, steel and sometimes wood, for the purpose of aiding Leasunngs
with spell casting. They are believed to be direct links to the
Light Lord and are regarded as highly sacred instruments. Etallis
can only be made by Master Leasunngs specialized in the school
of Enchantment.
Etam DeAidomm: (EH TIM, DAY, AY DOM) Ancient
Zynik translated sense of fire. The ability to use
ones mind in the use of fire making.
Evil One: Trikean name for anyone against Anuhak.

Forgotten Age: The name given for the time before the
great earthquake which ended that epoch and began the new, the
Common Era.

Ganas, Aeth Sonn: (GAN ESS, AY ITH, SAHN) Senior General
for the Dackarian Army and adviser for King Alessandro Strouv
of Dackar.
Gontar: (GONE TAR) Common name for the kingdom, people
and religion of UGontar Ralatwarb.
Gospadar: (GOSS PAH DAR) A large and industrious kingdom
in the western region of Viarek.
H
HeilonSar: (HAIL ON SAR) Ancient Zynik for great
warrior. The Salochins name for the promised leader
of the world. The HeilonSar is said to one day divide the
nations of Viarek in the coming Last Battle against the Dark.
K
Kings Council: A group of twelve men who establish
and enforce the laws of the Kingdom Dackar under the rule of
the Monarch. Most work as advisers as well. The highest office
in the council is Head Councilman, who works as a retainer for
the throne in the Monarchs absence.
Kurrzen: (KIR ZEN) A race of small, muscular people
who live mostly in the mountains. The old language is stilled
used in the Kurrzen villages, though most speak the common language
as well. A male Kurrzen is normally no taller than four and a
half feet tall, a female is usually four feet tall. Not well
accepted in the smaller villages, but live predominately in the
larger cities as business people, such as jewelers or blacksmiths.

Last Battle: The common name for the prophesied battle
between the Light and the Dark, the outcome of which is not certain
in any known prophecy. Prophesied by the Radnalac Writings to
be the sign of the destruction of the known world. Also known
as, Recue SarNattram or The Recue for short.
Leasunng: (LEE SUNG) A priest and/or scholar in the
ways of Encartne. Believed to be blessed individuals by great
deeds done in past lives. Leasunngs are taught according to schools
and use their powers for the good of the Light Lord, such as
counseling others or battling enemies. Leasunngs are schooled
in special powers given to them from the Light Lord after years
of study in Encartne.
Lesroc: (LEZ ROCK) Capital city of the Kingdom Dackar.
Light, The: The power behind the Light Lord and those
who serve.
Light Lord: Common name used for the Creator of the
world. Also, Great Creator.
Lockern, Brynn: (LOCK URN, BRIN) A peasant woman of
the people Trikea. Slave of the Kingdom Dackar.
M
Milak: (MILL ACK) The oldest recognized nation in the
known world of Viarek. It is located on the western side of the
eastern continent. Its people are highly religious and influential.
Modcearu, Derian of the Blood Line Modcearu: (MODD
SEE RU, DEER EE IN) Gospadarian Lord betrothed to Lady Maira
of the Blood Line Rivven.
P
Players: A group of traveling entertainers; musicians,
actors, jugglers, etc.
Porthero: (POR THAIR O) Southern port city in the Kingdom
Dackar.
Protectors of the Kingdom: A small group of knights
honored by being the Kings personal guards. The highest
rank given to a knight.
R
Radnalac Writings, The: (RADD NA LACK) Ancient writings
from the Forgotten Area believed to be the true prophecies by
the known world. Written by Enallpria Radnalac in 234 FA, it
is said that his original writings have no preference to the
Light or Dark. King Trebbor of Milak declared the writings prophecy
in 482 CE and copied these for other nations. Other nations over
the years borrowed or changed the writings to form their own
prophecies, Milak being the only nation to stay with the original
writings. The original Radnalac documents are currently held
in the Fortress of Light in the kingdom of Milak.
Radnalac, Enallpria: (RADD NA LACK, EN ALL PRY AH)
A Milaki prophet from the Forgotten Age who was executed for
his beliefs. His ancient writings, commonly called the Radnalac,
were once believed to be the work of a madman. They are now the
original documents used for study of world prophecies.
Recue SarNattram: (REE CUE, SAR, NAHT RUM) Milaki
for end of the natural. The name given for the prophesied
battle between Light and Dark in the Radnalac Writings. It is
believed to be the destruction of the world. Also known as The
Recue for short or The Last Battle in the common tongue.
Rein, Jada: (RAIN, JAY DAH) A Protector of the Kingdom
wanted for treason.
Release, The: The time foretold by the Dark Ones
prophecy when the DaVocatus will break the kingdoms and
separate the people to either the Dark or the Light. The time
just before The Recue.
Rheinau, Alpenna: (RAY NOW, AL PEN AH) Foreign merchant
residing in Clemetzon. A man of mysterious background and arcane
knowledge.
Rivven, Tyris of the Blood Line Rivven: (RIV VAN, TIE
RUS) A Lord from the Kingdom Gospadar. High Leasunng for the
Dackar Kingdom and adviser for King Alessandro Strouv of Dackar.
S
Salochin: (SALL OH SHIN) Ancient Zynik word which has
lost translation through the ages. Many believe it may have been
translated child or children of light, though it
is uncertain. A religious and mysterious group of nomads who
travel searching for the one they call HeilonSar. They
are often hated and feared by outsiders because of their devious
reputations. It is said that any who accept the Salochins
help must repay the Salochin with ones life or worse, if
possible.
Schools of Encartne: There are ten schools of which
a Leasunng may study: Abjuration, Alteration, Battle, Conjuration,
Divination, Enchantment, Healing, Illusion, Knowledge, and Philosophy.
Each school has its own color in the heraldry of the Kingdom
Dackar. For example, black is for Battle, red is for Conjuration,
and white is for Healing. Most Leasunngs prefer to study all
schools and do not specialize, making for a wider range of powers.
Some specialize in one school to become a Master Leasunng in
that school. A student must study all schools for the first seven
years of training before reaching the status of Leasunng. Once
a Leasunng, he/she can decide to specialize or not, then must
study another three years. In the last year of study the Leasunng
must venture alone for some time, using his or her knowledge
to support his or herself before becoming a Master Leasunng.

Trikea: (TRY KEY AH) Mountain people settled in the
Rosette Mountains.
U
UGontar Ralatwarb: (U GONE TAR, RAH LA TWARB)
The proper name for a kingdom of great knowledge and prestige
in the western region of Viarek. Commonly called Gontar.
Ubel, Jerell Bose: (U BELL, JER REL, BOYS) Head Councilman
for the Kingdom Dackar and adviser for King Alessandro Strouv
of Dackar.

Vestilos: (VES TIL OHS) The island kingdom in the southwestern
region of Viarek.
Viarek: (VY AH REK) The known world.
Z
Zynik: (SIGH NEEK) A slim, pale colored race of people
who once dominated the land of the western continent before the
arrival of the first newcomers over nine hundred years ago. They
are distinct for their delicate features and pointed noses and
ears. Dackar holds the largest population of Zynik on the continent.
Most Zynik people live in the cities now and run the majority
of trade houses throughout Dackar.
