![]() This large room is filled with debris - broken weapons and armour, and shattered training equipment. Once, this room used to ring with the sound of heavy maces crashing against shields, as warriors practised their smashing technique or improved their ability to defend themselves from harm with their shields. Looking around, you are reminded of the tales that you have heard of this training room. Here, warriors used to navigate obstacle courses while blindfolded, preparing for night attacks on the villages of Shire, or would practise hiding objects from view or moving silently over creaky boards. Others would be throwing themselves through the training circuits, conditioning their minds and bodies for their role as the elite soldiers of the Dark Lord. Luckily, the time for this is long past, and only the broken items scattered around remind you of what used to happen here. Here and there on the walls you can still see inspirational portraits of heroes and allies of the Army. These portraits appear to be protected by some magical source, as despite your best efforts, you cannot vandalise them. You can look at the portrait of Erebus, the portrait of Hades, the portrait of Hawk, the portrait of Lindros, the portrait of Line, the portrait of Locklear, the portrait of Monika, the portrait of Murdock or the portrait of Zugzug if you like. To the west lies the empty dormitory of the Army, a room that once echoed with the sonorous sounds of snoring. To the east lies the Board room of the Army, a place where the orders of the day used to be posted on a bulletin board. This room is still used by adventurers such as yourself, who like to post messages for everybody to read. To the north is the evil meditation room of the Army, a place that soldiers would visit before heading off to battle. If you wish to leave these evil hallways, you can head south towards the exit. Alternatively, if you know where you wish to head within the halls, you may consult your site map to take you straight there. |
