You pick up the fifth scroll from the ground. The ancient vellum has inscribed on it messages from adventurers like yourself who posted notes on the notice board in times past. The spectral minion who guards the board room has transferred these old notes to the scroll to keep these messages for posterity.
You read the scroll, showing messages from October and November 1998:

A couple of questions to you all :
1 : Anyone heard about the new guilds, Army of Mordor, fire walkers, Dragonarmy and priests of Thakisis?
2 : and when do they open to public.
2,5 : and any information regarding their progress?
Regards, Sussie.

Greetingsss all.
I just thought I might post a note concerning roleplaying in Genesis. It
certainly has changed over the last few years, and in most cases I have been
impressed.
The knights have come into their own since their recode, and I can usually rely on them for an enjoyable discourse, usually concerning good and evil, dark magiks and chivalry. Their members can usually be trusted to stay
in-character... hopefully this will stay that way with the introduction of the dragonarmy and that they don't go on a recruitment drive that brings in
powerplayers and people that can't roleplay (like with the 'good ole knights' of the past).
The Union of Shadows I am impressed with. Thanks to some amazingly creative work from their wizards, they have been blessed with a history and realm that has resulted in the creation of something that is extremely enjoyable to interact with. Those members of the Union I have run into have proven to be thoughtful and of distinct character.
Even some of the gladiators I have run into have offered some enjoyable
roleplaying opportunities... something that I have found quite surprising from the traditionally powerplaying guild.
The one guild that has truly become a disappointment is the rangers. After
today, I no longer class them as a roleplaying guild. They rarely parley as they used to.. I can only place one time within the last year when rangers have stopped to converse, and that was only because I was standing at their guild doorstep (their conversation mainly revolved about me leaving *smirk*).
They never introduce themselves, something I don't understand. Knowing who you are talking to really makes a difference in conversations... and truly,
introducing oneself to your enemy is no longer the threat it used to be with the removal of the torque. As far as I am concerned, those who don't introduce themselves are simply saying that they are weak and/or afraid. That’s why I so enjoy my conversations with the knights. They at least portray themselves to be strong and unafraid.
I never see any notes on boards from rangers that stimulates roleplaying
discussions anymore... It doesn't seem like there are any Arethians amongst them anymore.
Admittedly, the rangers could respond to these criticisms by saying that I am their enemy, and that they do not converse or introduce themselves to the
enemy... that they are rangers, and should stay out of sight, that the Morgul
Mages are now active against them... Bah! Refusing to interact with ones enemy is the worst form of roleplay!
Anyway, if roleplay isn't their ball and dice, I'll be more than happy to not
waste my words them. I guess I could roleplay in a different way by killing any ranger I come across *shug*.
Some of the other guilds I am eager to see how they turn out in the future. The vampires of Emerald and the nuggety Neidar dwarves show quite a bit of
potential... lets see where it leads them.
My thoughts for the day,
Locklear.

Hail Ithilien!
I wanted to comment on a few of the things that has been suggested by some of the latest posters on this board. Such as:
* Wizards being "unfair" to you.
* Wizards taking the wrong decisions, while you (probably thanks to your deeper knowledge on the internal affairs of various guilds and clearer vision of what is best for the domain) know exactly what they should have done.
* Somewhat amusing and uninitiated ramblings on Ranger affairs. (It is good to know that the infiltration obviously is not too bad.)
* Ranger council being incompentent and responsible for "the whole war" (?),
and "many of the troubles". Much due to the fact that it has female members.
Well, on further consideration I have decided that these statements speak
for themselves and don't really deserv much of a comment.

Tolkien! My Hero! Your site has been such a delight that I have bookmarked it to return and have passed the link along to friends! I am truly
impressed!
This was not what I expected, and I am so delighted I could just bust! I have truly found a treasure in your site, thanks for all the hard work,
and I am making my way to the voting room now!

Yes, I would have to agree that the ranger council is to blame for many of the troubles in the land at the moment... but what can you expect from a guild run by women?

Greetings Readers and webmaster,
I just wanted to put my whole slant on the possibity of a Ranger/Morgul war. Personally I feel the whole war is due to lack of decent leadership by the
Ranger council, and if they would have handled they startroom killings properly and removed the offenders from the council like other council members had happen to them when they had committed crimes, well this never would have happened.
Alas, it was not. The Rangers made their own bed and are now forced to sleep in it. Now it is rumoured they asked the rest of the alliance to help them should war occur. Given the Rangers willingness to help during the war, I would be highly doubtful if this were to come to fruition.
Next, I find it very odd that the Liege of Gondor closes one company from the
only guild that has the proper materials to fight such a war, then subsequently allows such actions to occur while being guildmaster for both guilds.
Perhaps it is time the whole domain was shut down, or at least the guilds to
restructure them and force legislation so imcompetance at the top levels does
not occur again.
Flames (well thought out of course with reasons,) comments, and rebuttal
graciously accepted,

Given the previous comment about how good Angmar was at killing others, it is funny to think about the correspondence between the mages and the rangers and a certain wizard, concerning a prospective guildwar...
You may remember that the wizards didn't care too much when the Alliance declared war on Angmar - probably because Angmar couldn't do very much. Now that the mages are tempted to slaughter the rangers (and after all, who believes that they couldn't?), the wizards are stepping in and forbidding such a conflict.
Aren't you glad that the wizards continue to show us that they don't have a 'one rule for some and another rule for others' policy - that they deal with all guilds and all players on an even basis?
Doesn't it just amuse you to death?

Thank you for the graveyard - it was particularly enjoyable to browse through the bones, and gnaw on a few.
This graveyard shows the real reason that the guild was closed down - the damage that its members and its guards managed to do to so many of the 'good' guys out there.
I guess we were just too damned good at killing those fools, huh?

A hidden graveyard has been discovered behind the mess-hall.
This graveyard is filled with the bones of those enemies of the Army who were slain by either guards or soldiers and allies of the Army. A tombstone identifies many of the dead, but there are also a large number who lie unidentified within the graves.
The Mouth of Sauron.

Having read the scroll, you drop it back in the pile, where the spectral minion places it in the right location. Now you can return your attention to the board room.
