I'm me,
I may not be the best of anything,
    But at least I'm me.
I'm part Native American, Blackfoot to be specific,
Part African-American, who knows what else?
Yet people tend to see me with subjectivity
Blacks say I act too white, and
    Whites(of all nationalities) pride themselves
      ...with color stereotypes
Don't blame them, though, they just follow orders
Raised to be shallow since birth
While I see everyone as human
I'm the youngest of four siblings
And at the same time, an only child.
I long for female companionship
Yet I'm afraid to open up to anyone
But when I do make that reach...
  ...another story, another time.
Someone will appreciate me. Why?
Because I may not be the funniest
Or the richest...or the -est of anything
      ...but at least I'm me.
