At the beginning, it was considered a disruption of the
peace. Easily handled by imprisonment of the offenders. But, as
the sport gained popularity among the
"high society", so did the commonness
of filling up jail space with all the offending fighters. And
with the crumbling of The Government,
due to the transfer of power from the people in general to the
few rich people who simply corrupted all who could touch them,
The Government made a swift and harsh decision to wipe out the
sport once and for all-They authorized all Police Forces with the
power to kill, on the spot, all Street Mortality Fighters, and to
imprison all spectators, granted that they didn't resist arrest
in any way, for a minimum of twenty years
of hard labor.
Though the penalties for the illegal sport were steep,
the need for the money kept the demand
up amongst the low level societies and their
untouchable supporters/owners.
