Chapter 1: The Call

 Brian slowly opened his eyes and got up. He didn’t recognize the place he was in. 
 “What is this?” he thought. 
 “Help us....” a weak voice suddenly cried. 
 Brian looked around, but didn’t see anyone. “Who are you?” Looking around, still 
not seeing anyone. 
 “Help us....” the voice cried again. 
 Brian turned in the direction the voice came from and still didn’t see the person. 
“This could be a trap” he muttered to himself. He went to prepare his staff...his staff! It 
was gone! 
 “What-” 
 Suddenly he was in the monastery. Why was he laying on his side? He got up and 
suddenly realized that it was only a dream. 
 “Who was that?” Brian wondered to himself. “And why did she need my help?” 
 Putting on his day clothes, Brian decided to tell the Grand Abbott of his dream 
 “What is it, my son?” inquired the Grand Abbott as Brian entered. 
 Brian told the Grand Abbott everything that happened in his dream. 
 Before the Grand Abbott could say anything, there was a flash of light, and Brian 
was gone. 
 “Wha-”
