Description
Planets Image Converter is a free utility to convert VGA Planets images between RESOURCE.PLN format (VGA Planets for DOS) and VPL??.BMP format (VGA Planets for Windows).

How use Planets Image Converter
Planets Image Converter works from command line, accepting the following parameters:

PIC [/R][/image][/H,/?] path

where:

/R
enables BMP-to-PLN conversion. The default conversion is PLN-to-BMP.

/image
specifies a single image conversion. This parameter must be a number.

/H, /?
display the copyright info and the command line help.

path
specifies the path containing the files to convert.

For example: "PIC /R /5 C:\PLANETS" will put the image stored in C:\PLANETS\VPL5.BMP file into C:\PLANETS\RESOURCE.PLN file.

Planets Image Converter can read 16-colors bitmaps only; so you must reduce your 256-colors (or more) images to 16-colors.
Otherwise, Planets Image Converter produces 256 colors bitmaps when converting RESOURCE.PLN to VPL??.BMP files.
