Fur Kampfgruppen Rhinelanders

  So...You thnk you have what it takes to advance the Rhineland's Army across Mother Russia do you??? Time will tell the tale as it has for some 50 years.

Here you will find a brief description and comparison between German Vs Russian equipment and tactics along with some helpful reminders and pointers for those of us who tend to forget the little things,(which true to form usually turn out to be HUGE mistakes later in the game).

  Pz1b,Pz38,and Pzll-- All considered light scout tanks however due to the shortage of tanks these were pressed into service and were still in service during the invasion of France in 1940.

  Pzlll--The primary main battle tank until 1942 the Pzlll was armed with a 50mm gun and had 50mm armor.Hopelessly outclassed by the T-34  and KV series tanks in 1941.

PzlV D&E-- Primarily support tanks armed with 75mm cannon and 60mm of armor . Later these tanks were upgunned with 75mm long guns which allowed them to stand up to T34 tanks.



PzV--Truly an outstanding gun and frontal armor(75mm gun and 110mm armor that could defeat all but the most powerful Allied tank and anti-tank guns.  Probably the best tank design of the entire war which led to some of todays tank designs.



PzVlE--HAd a fearsom reputation and dominated the scene wherever it appeareduntil the advent of the Soviet 122mm and 152mm respectively.PzVlb was the Konig Tger and had up to 110mm frontal armor however it was very slow.



Jpz--The Nashorne and Elefant tank destrroyers were probably the best in their class for destroying enemy armor. Both recorded kills at ranges of 4000+meters however both were slow and not very many were ever produced.


Air Support-- Comprised of Stuka's,Ju88's,Me 109's,and Fw190's these are all very good at attacking armor. The Stuka being the best of all. Use it sparingly and keep your target spotted for the entire time that the support is alocated.

Artillery--King of the battlefield, this is best used to suppres enemy forces before an assault or to force a retreat of the enemy while they control an hardened bunker ect..ect...Artillery canot shoot the same turn it moves and is damaged by counterbattery fire.Be sparing with your ammo.
