Here are my first pass Shock Force 1 stats, with frogs same as Shock Force troopers.
There are actually three colors of frogs (plus the toads), but the two darker colors turned out to be just about the same when all was said and done. I used an olive drab spray paint for the base coat (after priming white)--it seemed to me like a great color for frog armor, recalling swamps, ponds, etc. There is a bit too much green overall, I think, but I like 'em anyway. The red on the "mouths" of the robots is brighter than it appears here. There is another Battletech mech that I want to add as a different robot, that also has a "froggy" appearance.
I use a gloss sealer to protect their paint jobs, and I sorta wanted them to look a bit glossy. However, these turned out so glossy that I _might_ give them a flat coat, and then go back and paint gloss over the eyes.
I have some plans for using a couple of Star Wars Action Fleet toys by Galoob, but I'll need another pack of frogs. :)
Bullfrogs #1 : Frogs in powered armor. One of the figures had a hair dryer for the not-so-serious Critter Commandos. That has been replaced by a plasma cannon, a weapon from an old plastic Epic titan from Games Workshop.
Bullfrogs #2 : More frogs in powered armor. One of these has a gun from a Games Workshop Space Marine Land Speeder instead of his hair dryer.
Frogs : Some of the basic frog troops
Poison Dart Frogs : Two Poison Dart Frogs with their handler. The pdf frogs are toys, not from a miniatures line.
Robots : A couple of froggy robots from Ral Partha's Battletech miniatures line.
Sergeants : Froggy leaders.
Toads : These were the only basic frog figures that didn't have the same weapon as the rest. So I put bumps on them with elmers glue, painted 'em brown, and called 'em toads. I'll give them less range but higher attack.
