Rat Terrier Ring News

After much trial and tribulation, we are finally listed in RingWorld. No idea why it took so long, but thanks to the WebRing staff for being so helpful.

11/11/98: Announcement from WebRing/Starseed

Today we are announcing that Starseed , which operates WebRing, will merge with GeoCities.

When Sage Weil conceived the ring concept and began this effort, who could have guessed it would grow so quickly? Currently, you've helped create more than 66,000 rings! That's unbelievable. For the past year we have been looking for an organization that shared our philosophy and outlook, a partner that would not only let us retain our unique way of working, but also help us expand our operation. Both Starseed and GeoCities have worked hard to make this happen, and we are all eager for our work together to begin.

Starseed will continue to operate WebRing as a division of GeoCities, and WebRing will retain its unique identity. Our primary focus will still be to provide ringmasters with the tools you need to effectively operate your rings -- you're the reason WebRing has become what it is today. This new relationship will allow us to devote greater resources to expanding and improving WebRing to give you the features we know you want and make WebRing faster and even more reliable.

If you have any questions or would like to find out more about the merger, please see the Questions and Answers page or send us e-mail at merger@starseed.com

We here at WebRing are all very excited about this -- we hope
you share our enthusiasm.

The Rat Terrier Ring is open for business! This is my first shot at something this complicated, so here's hoping all goes smoothly.
