A Legend says that in an age long past, a terrible war was fought
between the forces of good and the forces of evil. Known as the Ogre
Battle, it would determine whether mankind or demonkind would rule the
Earth. Three High Knights and thirteen White Wizards championed the
side of good and repelled the forces of darkness. Unfortunately one
wizard surrendered to the power of evil and created the Black Diamond,
imbued with his own powers, to bring forth the Demons once again. The
renegade was defeated and the Black Diamond was taken where it would
never fall into the wrong hands again. The Twelve remaining wizards
passed into history, their powers left behind in the twelve Zodiac Stones
should they ever be needed again.
In the current age, the need for the heroes of legend has never been
greater. Like a black tide, the armies of the Empress Endora have swept
over the whole continent, driving the last remnants of resistance to the
far corner of the kingdom of Zenobia. Ominous whispers of a dark time to
come demand that something be done. Someone must lead the last loyal knights
of the Zenobian Kingdom in a desperate attempt to find the Way of Kings and
