3. Will we ride around with automatic rocket cars?

Remember BladeRunner, Total recall and other SF movies, in the future we want cars that drive us!

Computer can already show us the best route and finding parking space. There are even plans to put cables under roads to slow down speeding cars automatically.
Manufacturer are planning infra red camera for night driving that would project onto an overhead display. Just like the one in jet Fighters.

But, because of the ECO do - gooders, we wont drive in rocket/jet fighter cars but in 30Km/h electric cars charging overnight.

People will be buying such cars in 10 years time for town use, but you wont see one many of them zooming up the highway.

3. Will man ever teleport?

Man HAS TELEPORTED ! Only one molecule of matter, admittedly, but it is a start.

Now we can scan an item, just like we will fax a letter, transmit it to an other part of the world and recreate it in three dimensions - perfect copy.
This mean that if we had to transmit people, we will have to get rid of the old "YOU" once you are at your destination.

Using current theories, it might take some times, scientists calculated that to transmit (teleport) a human to a single atoms length accuracy, it will take 100000000000000000000000000000000000 bit of data (10 at the power of 32). Using the best optical fiber, it will take a mere hundred million centuries to send! But we can do it :)

4. Will we live on other planets?

No, not in the close future.If you plan to retire on Mars, you will have to live very old for your dream to come true.
Even NASA don't expect to land on Mars until the 2050.

The reason is simple: live on earth isn't horrible enough to make us abandon it.
In the mean time , NASA is working on a 10 years explo. program, that will lead to man exploration by 2050. In order to install a basic station, NASA will need to flight 45 times ( this is a lot of bucks!)

Only the Future will tell us if live on other planets will be possible. And, maybe, we will find a new system with many other planet to be discovered....who knows?
