The black suns sets on darkened skies
A madman’s eyes, a prophets lies
His words forgotten until more are said
Until more are led, more are dead
Oh how cold has the world become
Too cold for some, but others welcome
Its cold embrace is too long felt
Some have dealt, others have knelt
For its cold harsh winds hold power in fear
The end is near, the rain of tears
Falls from the heavens to the darkness below
There are those who know and those in woe
As the darkness moves to eclipse the light
Of the coming night, an endless fight
Lost in silence the mad man raves
A moment saved, his death is staved
A killer walks the empty streets at dark
He finds his mark, and pauses to hark
As the demons crawl from pits of their hells
An accursed yell, as more are felled
In the endless war to end all wars
A forgotten roar is told in lore
Lost from time its pages are hidden
To seek the forbidden, a dark horse ridden
Into the trees for so long in abandon
To hide from the sun, a victory won
By the long reach of shadows grasp
A frightened gasp, the bite of an asp
These the tales of which misery speaks
The heart of the meek, the fear of the weak
The world of Cyuk had existed in peace for hundreds of years, the gods of goodness ruled with bliss, this bliss was their downfall. So confident were the gods of goodness that they failed to notice the corruptions of their peoples, the usurping of their world by the gods of evil. The world now lies in anguish, the balance of power seems to have shifted in favor of darkness. The gods of good fight to reclaim their world, and the dark gods seek to extinguish the light of morality from the face of the
Misery AscendanT campaign setting. The battles between the powers has begun, their battles take place on the planet of Cyuk, lands of the suns. The gods themselves are so caught up in their struggles that the happenings of the lands fall unnoticed, their petty conflicts taking precedence over their faithful, and the survival of their lands.
The setting of
Misery AscendanT is one of dark fantasy, where dwarves and elves lay claim, and sorcery and magic are whispered in hushed tones. Wizards taking the title of Archmage guide the world to its rightful destination, while others of their kind seek to thwart them. The once well looked upon races of goodness are feared by the general populace, along with the magic wielders, who are feared and respected at the same time, if they are even believed in at all.
