Q.
Where is the Guild of Rangers Located?
A.
The Guild of Rangers is located 2 ne e ne e se from Darkhaven square.
Q.
What is the minimum level required to join?
A.
The Minimum level required to join the Guild of Rangers is 20.
Q.
Why such a high level? When most other guilds have a level 15 requirement?
A.
An old saying says "A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link"
The Guild of Rangers is a respected and honored guild. That can be a hard
position to maintain. If we were to induct level 15 people it might lower
the quality of the guild.
Q.
How do I join the Guild?
A.
The induction process is a 5 step process.
- Get a Ranger Quest Council (RQC) member to give you an induction quest
- Finish the quest following the rules the RQC member explains.
- Bring the items to either the same RQC member or one of the others
- If you quest was completed correctly, the RQC member will ask a guild leader to give you an interview.
- if you pass both the test and the interview, the leader will induct you into the Guild of Rangers, as a Pledge.
Q.
What kind of questions will be asked in the leader interview?
A.
Each leader is different in the questions that will be asked. Most will be very simple, or
require you to do any intensive research to find the answers. The interview is designed to let
the leaders get a good idea of what you are like.
Q.
What will my induction quest be?
A.
The induction quest is a "Seek and Retrieve" quest... in other words
you are given a list of objects to find, and you find them.
Q.
What Objects will I have to find?
A.
The objects that you must find is affected by several variants, your level,
your stats, also the personality and mood of the RQC member. However, no one
has been given an impossible quest. (to my knowledge)
Q.
What are the rules concerning the Induction quests.
A.
The actual rules tend to vary slightly. However the basic rules
circle around the fact that YOU must get these items. If a mob
has the item... you must kill it. you can't buy any items either, not from
any shop, nor the auction.
Q.
What is a pledge? Does it mean that I'm not a true member of the guild?
A.
The Pledge system is basically a trial period, which lasts for about a month.
During that time... You MUST keep Pledge in your title, and You will be observed
by the guild members... nothing drastic like following you around or stuff
like that. Just to see if you live up to the guild rules and to see if you
are guild material. You DO receive FULL privileges as a full guild member.
After a month, you ask a leader (nicely :)) that you would like to
have the pledge removed. At that time there will be yet another interview, were
we ask you questions about the guild, questions that one can easily find the answers to.
Q.
I'm in the guild... but I still need help, who do I ask?
A.
Well all you would have to do is ask any one of the many rangers that are online at the
time for help. However if you need a more "One on One" help... The Guild
of Rangers has a mentor program. Put simply, the mentor program is where an older, more
experienced ranger teaches and trains the newer guilded rangers. All you have to do to get
a mentor is ask a ranger who doesn't have one if s/he'd be your mentor. Or if you can't
find someone to do that, you can talk to Basyst, who is in charge of the mentor program, and
he will try to hook you up with a mentor :)
Q.
What are the Emissaries?
A.
The Emissaries is a new, and somewhat intensive program that will hopefully improve guild
activity. It's current leader is Zorla. Any questions about The Emissaries program will have
to be directed towards him :)
