Madlib is a game on the Internet Relay Chat network. Players from all over the world come and chat and play in realtime. Once on the IRC, on the Undernet (server sandiego.ca.us.undernet.org is the best for madlibbing) or Galaxynet (server irc.interpac.net) just /join #madlib. The play is simple. The gamebot, known as madbot presents the players with an unfinished sentence, and the players then send in their idea on what would make a funny ending in 10 words or less.* Please keep your answers clean as this is a PG13 channel. Thanks! Here is an example:

.........Another round is beginning!.......... You have 60 seconds to /msg madlib your answer in 10 words or less. .........The phrase for this round is:........ "The one thing I'd change about my physical appearance is _____"

Then the players then submit their answers by sending a message to madbot, like this:

/msg madbot not a thing

After 60 seconds, all the answers are displayed anonymously for the players to vote on. This phase looks like this:

........All the answers are in!.......... You have 45 seconds to /msg madlib your vote number for: "The one thing I'd change about my physical appearance is _____" 1 .. my weight 2 .. I'd look better invisible. 3 .. get rid of this green hair 4 .. I'd attach you to me 5 .. not a thing

At this time you pick your favorite (NOT YOUR OWN!), and send it to madlib, like this:

/msg madbot 3

After 45 seconds the results and authors are revealed.

JeTeRgIrL's answer of my weight received 0 vote(s)! cahaya's answer of I'd look better invisible. received 0 vote(s)! jezzy's answer of get rid of this green hair received 1 vote(s)! Nephkitty's answer of I'd attach you to me received 1 vote(s)! em's answer of not a thing received 3 vote(s)! em won the round, earning +2 madlib votes, for 5 votes!

Some bonus points will then be assigned. If you alone receive the most votes for a round, you will receive 2 extra madlib votes in addition to the votes you received in voting. If you and another player or players tie for the most votes, then each of you will receive 1 extra madlib vote in addition to your other votes. If your answer receives all possible votes, (every vote EXCEPT the one you cast) this is called a sweep, and then you score the same amount of extra madlib points as you received votes, giving you. (Ex. If you sweep with 5 votes, you'll receive 5 madlib votes for a total of 10 for the round!)

The came continues until a player meets or exceeds 20 points. Whoever does that wins the game! If there is a tie, then BOTH players win! Don't worry, a new game would then start in 60 seconds.
