First time on a talker?
To connect to Legends, you need to click here. After doing this, a telnet window should appear and you will see the Legends login screen. There, you will be prompted to enter a username. Once you type out your name, hit enter. If it asks for a password, then that means that there is already someone that has the name you chose. You will then need to repeat the process and select a new name.
Once you have chosen a name, you will see information regarding policies, rules, and help. Please take the time to read these. After you finish that, you will then find yourself in the Piazza de San Marco (Square of Saint Mark), which is the main room on Legends. First thing you should do is type lsu and that will give you a list of staffers that are online and available to help you. If you would like for your name to be saved, then please ask a staff member for residency.
- To talk to someone using private tells, the command is tell name then hit enter
(example: tell terpsichore hi)
- To talk to the people in the room with you, type say then hit enter
(example: say hi all!)
- To show an action to a person in private tells, the command is ,name
(example: ,terpsichore smiles)
- To show an action to everyone in the room, the command is ;action then hit enter
(example: ;smiles)
New To Role-Playing?
Don't worry, we all were at some point! :) We have a bunch of very helpful files on character creation (help char_type, help changeling_creation, help clans, help stats, help costs, etc). I've included a page here on each of the games we offer at Legends. Each page will give you a general idea of the games. It is strongly recommended that you work with a Story Teller or Assistant Story Teller in making your character. These people are here to help you, so please don't hesitate to ask! A good rule to follow is "When in doubt, ask." If you are not certain about commands or if you have questions about role-playing on Legends, please feel free to ask!
