There are six gods/goddesses recognized and worshipped by citizens of the Realm, each having his/her own temple. The gods/goddesses are as follows:
- Despothes. Despothes is the firstborn son of Xionakis and is the god of the elements. It was Despothes who led the other gods in secret rebellion against Xionakis. Despothes was responsible for directing the other gods in the creation of the Realm, and according to prophesy, Despothes will eventually lift the mists which have cursed the Realm with unending day.
- Enid. Enid is the goddess of virtue. She, alone of the Realm gods, refuses unqualified recognition of Despothes as “king” of gods. It was Enid who, upon seeing the plans of Despothes, roused Xionakis from her slumber. However, because of Enid’s peaceful nature, she could do little to assist Xionakis’ cause.
- Duach. Duach is the god of vice and darkness. His chaos balances the order of Enid. Duach serves Despothes only because his rebellion against Xionakis destroys the old order and accelerates the rate of entropy in the Realm. His followers seek death and destruction without cause wherever they go.
- Elphame. Elphame is the goddess and judge of the dead, and keeper of the mists. To Elphame, all Realm citizens must eventually account all actions. Her mists keep the Realm in a perpetual state of day, that “all dark places may come to light.”
- Fivarra. Fivarra is a secretive god, worshipped unwittingly by the least relgious of all Realm citizens -- the warriors. He is the god of war and violence, and blesses every uplifted blade. Unlike Duach, however, Fivarra does not seek the chaos of battle, but rather the order that is born as one warrior sets his or her own might above that of an opponent.
- Mabon. Mabon is the wizard’s god. His gift to the Realm was the ability to alter states of reality by sheer willpower. It is because of Mabon, that magic is practiced by some Realm citizens and all wizards pay homage to him each time they weave magic.
